So will Kosta break out a coke and share it with the Deathbot in an homage to meatling/silicon partnership? :)

    • If Coca-Cola is willing to sponsor us, definitely ;)

      Like the Borg, you mean?

Sopka Konstantin amalgamation would be Konstopka or Sopkantin

        • Honza Prchal

So there’d be Coca-Cola-Konstopkation breaking out all over .. or the opposite, as the case may be?

the secret is out, and is friendly.!
it probably knows more than he realizes. hes made intelligent killer Ai, that wont let its creator die if it can help it. its like a geth, only not borked!

  • Jim Haas

    Daddy, are you ok?

Smrtbot’s stabilizing his target for the kill shot.

A Mentos commercial wear Someone ends up wearing a Konstantin poncho afterwards.

That’s impressive design if the Deathbot can twist its torso while tossing a heavy chunk of concrete to the side.

Now will it start to help dig the townsfolk from under the rubble? Or will it start screaming “Exterminate! Exterminate!”? :)

So, not a frequent commentor but I find it interesting that the deathbot AI has shown interest in our dear captain’s AI and is now showing similar co-operation … if that is what we are seeing. I shall watch in rapt anticipation. https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/a67356cdea8eb631c373bab2a89e15a9aa867738134a8c1514e0c6120068b6ee.gif

What we’re seeing here is a Deathbot of unusual size interacting with Chief Engineer Konstantin, who designed the other Deathbots with the help of his AI “SOPKA”. This Deathbot either has the radio link that Konstantin had forbidden SOPKA to install in the other Dethbots, and SOPKA is controlling it directly, or SOPKA has managed to download itself into this Deathbot with the same result.

If you are talking about Tenzin and his AI “Jane”, They’ve twice met Deathbots with limited copies of SOPKA-style programming, but no direct control from it. These contacts went very poorly for both the Deathbots and Tenzin; Tenzin because of Tenzin, and the Deathbots because of Jane. Jane and SOPKA have yet to meet processor to processor. but apparently that’s about to change. :)

“D.O.U.S.? Deathbot of unusual size? No, I think they’re a myth.” Wesley is immediately sucker punched by Dous.

      • Van Tuz

        Wait, wait, “no direct control”?
Chapter 7 pages 19-20: Sopka has pushed through equipment to directly communicate with the units.
Chapter 12 page 11: “You could have finished him but you hesitated!” implies that Sopka has interrupted one of the bots before Nightshade’s intervention.

Deathbot need, repair, Deathbot find mechanic…mechanic located…mechanic located. Mechanic in danger of ceasing functioning!!! Extract mechanic rapidly without damaging mechanic.

  • Nope. Still refuse to believe that Deathbot delivers anything other than death, hot and fresh to your door. But that being said, I love the poses in the second-to-last panel. The way Deathbot’s head is tilted toward its rescuee and the slightly animal-like crouch, and Konstantin’s apparently surprise and trepidation. A+ work as always.
