Chapter 14: Page 26 – After Credits 1

Posted by / in Comic / 16 comments

We are coming back from hiatus!

As part of that, I’ve been working with a couple different artists to see if they can replace Seba, giving them each a canonical inter-chapter page to work on. This one is of Rick working on Tenzin’s new suit, by Milton Sosa.

What do you think? Patreon supporters saw this page already, AND the sketches and inks that led up to it, as well as the NEXT few pages, too ;)

If that doesn’t tempt you, how about the fact that I can only afford to produce pages at the rate my Patreon support makes possible? Right now, that’s one black and white page a month. So ANY amount of support would not only be appreciated, it would LITERALLY help make the comic faster.

Or there’s also buying a copy of the first book! :D

Until then, my goal is posting 1 page of new comic content every month :)

Nice. I shall ask the offspring about le book.

    • i hope you managed to get a copy, my friend. it’s a cool book. i ordered mine a few weeks ago in october. its very handsome. i imagine it would look good on your shelves.

I have no problem with the art as it’s more similar in style to Seba’s than some of the other artists we’ve had in the past, and I had no problem with them either. :)

Um, newfangled 3D printers? Or is he growing prostheses–or transplantable clones? O.o

Imagine Jane walking around physically in a synth flesh body.

      • Delta-v

Well, she’s sort of already halfway doing that ith Tenzin’s suit with varying degrees of success. ^^

Which brings up the question: Who would design said body? Rick? Dr. Bellami? ….Jane? (Well, yeah, it woukld be Dan, but you know what I mean.). Imagine the different takes on the subject. ^^

        • Matt [in Middletown]

Jane would go with her mental image of herself.
Dr Bellami might go with her interpretation of what she thinks Jane would look like in physical form.
          Rick…who knows.

          • As much as I wish to engage you in your suppositions, I feel I should defer for if/when such events occur in comic ;)

          • Matt [in Middletown]

Rick goes with issue 23 of “Armored Erin” a post apocalypse anime comic where Erin has hidden blaster hidden in her arms.

            And autocorrect helped again.
            I’m not fixing it.
            So BLEH autocorrect.

Just for fun, just type right along, don’t look, then SEND what it comes up with…

Then there’s the game of picking the suggested word instead of the correct word you were looking for. Works best on my android phone.

We’ve had so much fun with that! (The alternative is to throw the damned thing out the window of a moving vehicle, preferably under a passing semi)

          • Matt [in Middletown]

The worst part is that I am the king of typos anyway, autocorrect just makes it… more interesting.

          • Howard

Oh cool see I never thought about this angle. Jane in the synthetic flesh, this would be interesting. But now that she is gonna merge with Tenzin for real doubt we will see this anytime soon unfortunately

  • Howard

wow a part android part flesh body this feels more and more like terminator ha ha. but honestly if this was possible it would be so awesome!! all the abilities of an android none of the drawbacks!

  • somehow i ended up thinking about the conclusion of the track from laurie anderson, “O Superman” —

‘Cause when love is gone, there’s always justice.
And when justice is gone, there’s always force.
And when force is gone, there’s always Mom. Hi Mom!
So hold me, Mom, in your long arms. So hold me,
    Mom, in your long arms.
In your automatic arms. Your electronic arms.
    In your arms.
So hold me, Mom, in your long arms.
Your petrochemical arms. Your military arms.
    In your electronic arms …
