Chapter 6: Page 2 – Here We Go

Posted by / in Comic / 34 comments

New page new page!  And Jane starts interacting with Tenzin’s dreams.  Thoughts/expectations on what will happen?

Make sure you check out the short story we’ve started posting. “Mirage” tells the story of a future main story character :D

EDIT: We got another cool review.  You can find links to all of them on our “Critical Reception” page.

EDIT 2: I did a “Creator Spotlight” over on YourWebcomics.com.  It has some teaser concept art from Chapter 7 in it you might find interesting ;)

  • Ydo Ucare

This is the point where they start having happy sky bison dreams, right?

    • LOL. Jane tried adding sky bison to the background, but Tenzin’s subconscious just kept shooting them :P

      • Matt [in Middletown]

“Can’t stop here, this is sky bison territory!” -Fear and Loathing in Minerva

  • Dusty Coyote

Is this where they will do yoga in their dreams?

    • I see what you did there ;)

Man, I feel like I would be much better at yoga in my dreams. Not very flexible in real life :D

  • Adriano

I really love this month’ award for voting : a bunch of Jane o/ Thank ya, Seba !

I deeply ask everyone reading TDA to vote everyday for this wonderful comic :D

    • Delta-v

      I like your style–a lot. :)

      • Adriano

        Thank you, I guess ^^

  • Adriano

I can totally see Tenzin shouting “INDIRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA !!!”

    • Matt [in Middletown]

      “INDIRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!”
*Chucks a grenade into the campfire to put it out*

      • BUUCKYYYYYYY!!!!

        • Welp, better go get the fire-proof brick.

          • Matt [in Middletown]

Just had a “Captain Minerva” thing fly through my head.
Instead of an adamantium shield, Cap’n Minerva has an adamantium brick..

          • I see you read Silver age comics my friend

          • Matt [in Middletown]

            Heh heh heh.
            Busted, yes.

        • theRoUS

          Bueller? Bueller?

  • Michael Corley

I wonder what dreams feel like?

    • Adriano

      For Tenzin ? Painful.

  • Delta-v

I expect Tenzin to resist the destruction of the reality he thinks he deserves.

    • NickDA

      oooooh…. very nice… very nice good sir….

      • Delta-v

Well, once again I’m basing my comment on the fact that you guys stick so faithfully to the way things really work. In a counselling class I took once, they told us that the more firmly someone is invested in something, they more fiercely they will defend it. Sooooo……..

    • What can I say that isnt a spoiler?

When a story is so well developed like this one you will be able to predict in a degree whats going to happen, and enjoy a lot more when you find a twist (that has a logic within the story of course)

      • Well said :)

        • Matt [in Middletown]

What are the odds that the nightmares leading up to this chapter actually come after this action?

          • 3? Wait, how do odds work again? ;)

I’ll say this much. You’ll find out how this turns out in just the next 6 pages. Can you wait 3 weeks? ;P

          • Matt [in Middletown]

            Yes.
I’m beating some clunky sentences into submission in “the writ” I’m stumbling around on.

  • I know comics show things from a third-person view, but somehow I find it strange that Tenzin’s memories as accessed by Jane would include himself in the scene. Kind of an unfair nitpick, though, since it would be really hard to depict all of this as seen through something other than the camera’s eyes. Either way, this is still a great page, as always.

    • the narration would be impossible ( a cool experiment actually, but not the idea here ) but.. if you pay attention, not a single time that Jane looks at the nightmares from inside Tenzin’s head you’ll see Tenzin. here she is walking into the nightmare ( you’ll see more later) The thing is, within the story, Tenzin never sees himself in a dream

      • Ah, looking back, I can sort of see that with the collage of images she looks at. Well, dreams are difficult to capture. Either way, I like these pages a lot. I was just bringing up a though that occurred to me, which obviously also occurred to you already.

  • Hornet

Looks like she rang the doorbell.

    • Adriano

      Lmao I’m so dead xD

    • Matt [in Middletown]

      Ding Dong, Avon Calling?

  • Citrus Reaper

Time for shit to get surreal.

  • theRoUS

Mood rings, and now mood eyes.
