Minerva: Chapter Seven – Many Meetings

Posted by / in Comic / 40 comments

Alright everybody, hiatus is over ;)

I had fun doing the scavenger hunt, and hopefully some of you had fun doing it.  Tallying up the entries for those who actually entered the drawing, one contestant had a strong lead.  The random number generator agreed as well, picking him three times in a row :)  So the winner of the First Demon Archives Scavenger Hunt raffle is Maarten Spreij :D  I’ll be emailing you with your rewards.

Anyways, enjoy this chapter!  You get to meet a lot of new characters :D

Sneaky ninja edit…

  • Dusty Coyote

Perspective man! With the ability to look like he’s standing on walls, able to look like he leaps tall buildings in a single bound! Faster than a speeding walcom pad! More powerful than photoshop!

    • Yes but who is he? Does he use his powers for good, or for awesome?

      • Dusty Coyote

Judging from the coveralls and the background, hes just a dam janitor or dam technician. He could also be a dam engineer. Then all of his conversations would be…. civil….

        • “Welcome everyone. I am your dam guide, Arnie. Now I’m about to take you through a fully funtional power plant, so please, no one wander off the dam tour and please take all the dam pictures you want. Now are there any dam questions?”

          • Dusty Coyote

            Pretty Much.

          • DeNitro

Bravo, I know people who would have written a full page story about that dam.

          • Adriano

Matt and I could do so. Do we accept the challenge, Matt ?

          • Matt [in Middletown]

A dam IS a really nice place to hide an evil laboratory.
Plus side is that you have power generation there.
            Hmm..

          • Adriano

Oh, dam, you make me think to GSM now xD

Could this dam scientific be the Evil Doctor of GSM ?

          • Matt [in Middletown]

            The Grand Unified Webcomic Theory.
Every occurrence is happening somewhere in the comic world, everywhere, simultaneously at a quantum level.

          • Adriano

It’s not my fault if GSM has a lot of things in common with TDA : a tortured heroe whose past is a mistery (until flashback episode in TDA, it was mysterious), the best friend of the heroe who’s a bit dumb and always making jokes, the beautiful pilot (copilot in case of Tenzin) girl, the bad boss, the evil doctors and the robots wanting to take over the world.

I don’t know if Dan knows Reine, but this smells like they know each other u.u

          • Matt [in Middletown]

            Heh heh heh.

          • not many better ways to have a continuous energy supply after the end of the world right?

          • DrCrazy102

Don’t forget, it’s environmentally friendly, so you can sneaky and not leave a carbon footprint XD

          • He may be an evil mastermind, but he’s not so evil to not care about the planet ;)

          • Matt [in Middletown]

            Exactly!

        • Maarten Spreij

          “civil”, nice, Iseewhatyoudidthar.png :-)

          • Dusty Coyote

            Engineering high five.

      • Matt [in Middletown]

“I will stand with this epic background behind me, to increase the drama and suspense!”
        But, we’re only discussing lunch!

        • Adriano

“Lunch is a true matter of interest. That’s why it MUST be epic !”

  • Adriano

I like this cover, especially the lil’cute robot !

    • DeNitro

Am I the only one that at first glace, saw that “robot” as a detached mechanical arm standing on its open fingers.. lol

      • DrCrazy102

For a second, I thought it was the girl’s arm. Then I saw little fingers and the fact that the robot-thing-arm wasn’t even physically attached to the girl

      • Adriano

Ah, I didn’t saw it like this.
But now that you say it…

  • No more hiatuses please I have things I need to know for crying out loud

    • Amberlight

Subscribe to Patreon, you’ll get to know things a week earlier.

      • DrCrazy102

I do not think a week in advance is enough for Demon Archives. More like the rest of the storyline, to date. XP
Story is too good, and the suspense! Stop with the suspense please! I’m kidding, keep it up.

        • Adriano

          Ahah yeah so true !
          I wish I could get some answeeeeeers ;w;

          • NickDA

We could tell you, but then we’d have to chop off your fingers and confiscate your computer… the spoiler risk… is just to high :P

          • Adriano

I think I’ll just keep my fingers, then ahah xD

    • Jack Crow

      It’ll be worth the wait!

    • DeNitro

Jennifer just said no more hiatuses..

      • Adriano

Damn I should go again to your webcomic, Jenn. I bet I have a ton of new pages to browse.
        I’m so sorry for not visiting your site for so long ;w; I miss Brett and his humour ;w;

  • Matt [in Middletown]

    Congrats Maarten!

    • Jack Crow

      Maarten says thanks :-)

      • Matt [in Middletown]

“Why am I in this box, and why is the shippig label marked ‘Deathbot,, care of..’?”

        • Jack Crow

          Haha, he’s such a kidder!

  • Maarten Spreij

    Woohoo o/ :-D Most honoured :-)

  • TengenMachine

Scavenger hunt… Man, I picked the perfect time to go camping out of the long comfy arms of 4G and civilization! It’s cool though, I am pleased that you guys are awesome enough to do fun activities with the community! I have yet to see other comics and artists do such a thing!

    • Jack Crow

Note it said “The *First* Demon Archives Scavenger Hunt”, there’ll be more :-) And being away from civilization for a bit must be a good experience…
