Chapter 4: Page 56 – No Manches

Posted by / in Comic / 21 comments

I like this page a lot.  The look on Jorge’s face when he thinks that HE blew up the tank somehow?  Priceless.

Well not exactly priceless, since we paid Nico to do such excellent art ;)

Speaking of monies, I wanted to thank those of you who do contribute on Patreon.  I get enough per month currently to do some advertising and to occasionally commission some art.  But it’s still less than a tenth of the amount needed to sustain the project month to month.  That’s all coming from Nick’s private pockets.  And while his job is good now, the idea of Patreon is that if we make enough there it won’t matter what happens to Nick’s job, we’ll still be able to continue producing The Demon Archives.  So if you like us, please consider pledging/donating, even just $1 a month. Although $2 a month lets you see the pages 1 week early ;)

Last thing, did you see the Siege of Minerva Wargame I’m creating for you?  I’d really love your participation, since I made it for you all to have fun in.

See, I told you that you’d find out about Jorge on today’s page :)

And in case you can’t figure it out, that’s the Lord’s Prayer in Spanish that Jorge is reciting.

A reminder that it is a new month, and that any votes on TWC would be very helpful.  Can’t you see Viktor begging for them below? ;)  Also, if you are able, please consider pledging on Patreon.  I try to provide what rewards I can, but really it is a way for you to support the continued production of The Demon Archives.  Also, I just changed the “see pages 1 week in advance” level to $2 instead of $5 ;D

Chapter 4: Page 54 – Failure

Posted by / in Comic / 23 comments

It’s a new week, and a new page.  I liked the comment that Patron Nathan Arnett made on this page when it posted on Patreon a week ago (hint hint, nudge nudge, click and pledge below):

Tenzin isn’t allowed to win. Ever. Everyone dies.

While I as the author may eventually disagree, the point of today’s page is that Tenzin believes it.

And while I have your attention, I really do want to thank readers like Nathan who support us financially.  While Nick is able to save some money from his paychecks to pay Seba and to host the site, it leaves little else for other things like commissions, advertising and bonus fun stuff.  I don’t have the technical know how to set up a donation button or a store (but Nick says those ARE coming, eventually), but I did set up a Patreon page, where YOU can donate as little or as much as you want to help us keep making the content you love, AND I give you cool reward perks for doing so.

Just food for thought.  :)

Chapter 4: Page 53 – Outgunned

Man, what is it with Tenzin and fighting unarmed against guys with tanks?  It’s like he has a death wish or something.

We’ve starting getting guest strips for a brief hiatus at the end of this chapter (first week of December).  If anyone wants to try their hand at drawing a funny guest strip or guest art, check out our post about it.

EDIT:  TDA got a couple of cameo appearances this week!  One on the webcomic Center Lane, one on Area 42, and one on Princess Chroma.  Check them out :D

EDIT 2:  Nico points out that he included an easter egg referencing an earlier page in the comic when drawing this page.  500 MCs to whoever can find it :)  (note, there may be multiple references beyond what he intended. They’ll get the reward too.)

You may or may not have seen this coming, but to be fair, we did dress Roger in red.  In all honesty, before his name was Roger, his name was Red ;)

Have you been checking out the 2 main sections of the blog, “Wednesday Spotlight” interviews and “Why I Read” webcomic reviews?  Because you should.

Hope you have a happy Monday and remember to try out our fancy new buttons below!
