Hello readers!

I wanted to make a post and explain what has been going on over at the Demon Archives. A lot of you have probably heard how Nick has been working on the new version of the website. He’s been working on it for a while, but we are happy to announce that the new version of the webpage will launch on Monday, August 15th. I know that is almost a month away, but there is nothing like a nice, firm deadline to get Nick in gear.

Wow, this has been a great week. Well, parts of it. School was alright, but the website did awesome! We got thousands of views (see Nick’s post on the topic) from hundreds of unique visitors. That’s pretty crazy awesome. It has been really fun seeing people respond. Over the weekend Nick and I will continue to blog and probably upload some pre-history content (artist selection process, old short stories and the like). Our posting schedule will continue next week, with new comic pages on Monday and Thursday, Science and Lore articles Tuesday and Wednesday, and the upload of the pertinent section of the text-only novel on Friday. Please stay tuned and come back to check these out. Maybe even bookmark our page for easy finding :) Or like us on Facebook (the links to do so are at the bottom right of each and every page) or some other social media thing. I’m even learning how to Twitter :)

On an non-comic related note, my wife and I went to see Wreck it Ralph last night (imdb). It was awesome. Very well made and very entertaining. For old school video game or arcade game nerds, you see characters from classic games like Pac-man, Street Fighter, Sonic the Hedgehog, Super Mario Brothers and more. The animation is well done, blending old school graphics with newer ones in very creative ways, and I thought that the plot and characters were very well done and believable. Very sweet and emotionally touching at times too. So I recommend that you either go see it, or rent it on Redbox or something when it comes out.

So, to sum up, it was a good week, I saw a movie, and I’m excited for the weeks, months and years ahead as we share our story, The Demon Archives, with you. Thanks for reading :)

Hey readers (I actually have readers now!). So yesterday we launched, as many of you know. It was pretty fun for me to watch our site tracker throughout the day and see the hundreds of page views that we got. I’m sure a lot of them were me, but it is pretty gratifying (and weird) to realize that friends, family, and complete strangers are looking at our graphic novel. We’ve got people from around the world already looking at our website, which is pretty crazy.

Anyways, I hope that you enjoyed the first installment of Book 1: Minerva. The next several pages are done and ready to be uploaded, so we will be holding to our posted schedule. In case you didn’t know, the schedule is:

  • Mondays: Comic page
  • Tuesdays: Science article
  • Wednesdays: Lore article
  • Thursdays: Comic page
  • Fridays: Story page

You can find these posts in each of their sections at the top of the website, or by following us on Facebook, Twitter or Google Plus. Every time something gets posted on the website it automatically updates all our social media sites. There are links to all of our social media sites at the bottom of the main page, so please like, follow and +1 us. Then you’ll never miss a post. There is also a fair amount of other content on the page besides the first three comic pages, so look around. Some things are still a little rough, but leave us a comment when you find something and we’ll get to fixing it as soon as we can.

You’re all awesome!

Dan
