Hey readers.
So I know I said we’d have some more content and pages this last week, but it has been pretty crazy for everyone in the project. Seba’s house was having major problems. His walls were apparently electrified for a while. Suck! Nick got a new job and has been busy working on moving and whatnot from Arizona to Utah. I had a med-school exam this week and was studying for that. All in all, we’ve been busy, and we’re sorry.
Just wanted to update all our readers on the comic for this week. Like I mentioned earlier, this is a busy time for our artists. Seba is working on the next page, and we’ll probably have it up by the end of this week. We are also working on some banners and things to post on some big comic websites and drive some traffic here. I also started a TvTropes page, and will be posting tropes from our comic up there whenever it won’t spoil the story. Readers can feel free to find and post tropes from our comic there too, as long as they’re true

Today’s the last day of intermission week. Tomorrow we start with Chapter 2, so make sure to come back bright and early Monday morning (it’ll be worth it, I promise).
Here’s my initial prompt to the artists about Viktor:
Viktor – The tall, blonde Russian joined Tenzin in his vigilante quest for justice a few years before they joined up with Minerva. While terrible to behold in battle, Viktor has a gentle heart and enjoys a good laugh. He serves as a lieutenant in Tenzin’s squad, the Keleres.

Ethnicity: Russian
Skin Color: White
Hair color: Blonde
Eye Color: Blue

By this point, we had realized that people and faces weren’t necessarily Matias’ forte (at least not the way we wanted them), so he was focusing more on designs for armor, robots, transports, etc. In fact, in this one drawing of Viktor he made, we liked the armor so much that it heavily influenced the armor the Keleres wear (see page 11). It’s also interesting that the Viktor we end up with (see page 4) looks quite different from Seba’s initial drawings. That’s due to Nick and I giving Seba feedback about the feel we wanted for Viktor. Strong but gentle and wise at the same time. Hopefully it worked.
