Today’s guest strip is by Mike Podgor, creator of several webcomics including Area 42 and PC/MS. Click on his banner!

Area42

I do like this guest strip. I’ve gotten comments before about what’s with the “Demon” in “The Demon Archives.” People always expect there to be swords and sorcery :D Well it’s supposed to be “Daemon” ya’ll, as in the computer term :P So there.

Anyways, it’s a new month, so please vote :D

Controller, by Iain Oakley

Posted by / in Fan Art / 10 comments

Alright, it’s Guest Strip Weeks 2014 :D

It’s been just over a year since we relaunched our webcomic. In this year, we’ve grown from like 5 readers a week, to like 1500 readers a week :D We’ve gotten lots of great comments, fan art, started a wargame RPG, been in the Top 100 list for a while, and started doing interviews and reviews of other creators and comics.

It’s been a good year.

So before we start posting Chapter 5, we’re gonna have guest strips! I’ve included some older strips at the beginning, but this is the first of the new strips we got when we called for them.

I give you “Controller”, by Iain Oakely, creator of the webcomic Snapped Controller.

Shadowpuppets, by Marius Hjelseth

Posted by / in Fan Art / 4 comments

This bright, happy and funny little piece showed up in my inbox yesterday from Marius Hjelseth, artist and writer for the webcomic October 20th. Obviously quite a talented guy. I haven’t actually starting reading Marius’ comic yet, something I mean to rectify post haste, because it sounds very intriguing. It’s a horror/mystery/thriller about a couple of people who each killed someone on October 2oth 10 years ago, and since then have been hunted and killed by a mysterious creature. Sounds kind of creepy, and awesome, and I have it from multiple good sources that it is quite good.

EDIT: I have read and am up to date on October 20th, and it is as good as I thought. Very likable and interesting characters, with an intriguing story-line and mystery. I can’t wait to see how it turns out :)

EDIT2: Bumping this to include it in guest strip week 2014. This is probably the first guest “strip” I ever received, actually :D

Rescue Mission, by Carl Schulz

Posted by / in Fan Art / 2 comments

So we participated in another Secret Santa webcomic exchange. By chance, we happened to give to the same person we received from! Carl Schulz, creator of the webcomic Inhumation, made us this awesome guest comic. While some backstory elements may not be accurate (you’ll find out in Chapter 4), it is hilarious. I especially love Jane’s little robotic arm :)

EDIT: Bumping this to include it in guest strip week 2014, even though we got it for Christmas 2013 :)

Vault Boy, by Iain Oakley

Posted by / in Fan Art / 2 comments

Got this lovely little fan-art/guest-strip today from Iain Oakley, creator of the webcomic Snapped Controller and fellow Underdog. I’m going to step in and say that the two characters we see are Tenzin and Jorge, for no real reason other than I feel like it. And I miss Jorge (spoiler!) and this made me think of him, trying his best to up his accuracy to be a good sniper for the squad.

Thanks again, Iain!

PS Here is a page from the Fallout wiki referencing what Jorge is talking about. I had to look it up, because I didn’t know :)

EDIT: Bumping this to include it in guest strip week, since it’s excellent :)
