Why I Read: DadRockGirlPop

Posted by / in Blog / 4 comments

Hi everybody, it’s Delta-v again with another webcomic for your consideration. The premise this time is a bit more subtle, but it hooked me pretty hard. Author and artist Phil Breszinski liked the idea so here we go. Next stop, DadRockGirlPop.

Hey all, 2 major updates for you.

  1. The Siege of Minerva forum-based RPG game I’m building for you is past Pre-planning and now into the Planning stage. After this we start playing, so now is the time to join in :)
  2. At the end of this next sequence we’ll be doing a guest strip week (or two) and would love your funny guest strips to post then. Free promotion for you is the reward :)

That is all. You may now return to your regularly scheduled programming.

Why I Read: Nimona

Posted by / in Blog / 4 comments

Hey all! Dan here with another “Why I Read” webcomic review, this one of completed webcomic Nimona. This is first time that “Read” is in the past tense instead of the present. It’s also my first time reviewing a more famous/well known webcomic, and a first time reviewing a webcomic where I don’t have a relationship with the author. I mean, I follow author/artist Noelle Stevenson on twitter, but she doesn’t respond when I tweet at her ;) So it’s a review of many firsts. Anyways, on to why I read it :)

Why I Read: Think Before You Think

Posted by / in Blog / 7 comments

Hi, everybody. It’s Delta-v again, and I’m back with another wecomic I like to read. The premise for this comic is quite possibly the most disquieting premises I’ve come across. The author and artist Sylvia Odhner gave me permission, so let’s dive in to Think Before You Think.

Siege of Minerva Wargame

Posted by / in Blog / 3 comments

Ok, it’s finally starting!

Nick and I have been talking about how fun it would be to get you all involved in helping plan out an upcoming battle by creating a forum-based RPG of it, and allowing you to participate and “play through” the events in the story!

So, to start that, I have acquired a forum, and started some posts where you can help brainstorm and plan the different factions invading Minerva, who they are, why they’re fighting, etc.

Eventually, once the pre-planning is done, I’ll split interested parties into the factions, and you will get to plan and decide your faction’s attack. Probably each week or so you’ll have to submit your faction’s next set of actions, and I (or another GM, any volunteers?) will bring each groups actions together, tell you what happened as a result, and you can prepare your next actions.

I’ll also need some people to be on Minerva’s team, mounting the defense :)

So, thoughts? Interested? Check out the forum and let me know in the comments below :D
