Chapter 10: Page 3 - All That Matters

I’m sure Seba will have a new version of this page later today, because I was bothering him about a typo, and he never fixes JUST one thing ;) I managed to use my limited photoshopping skills to fix the typo. Can you tell where?

EDIT: You missed your chance, fancy edited by Seba version is up ;)

Don’t forget, supporters on Patreon get to see page sketches, inks, and colors, early :)

Also, I’m tinkering with the SpiderForest banner (the webcomic collective we’re part of), which you should see either up at the top of the site or down at the bottom. It shows links to a bunch of excellent comics you would probably enjoy since you like ours :)

  • Hmm. The second to last panel. Was Tenzin going to say “me”, or did he really just stutter and mean to say “my men” all along? Hmm…

    • Delta-v

Well, since he takes everything PERSONALLY……

      • Adriano

        “INDIRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!”

        • Delta-v

          A case in point. :)

  • Matt [in Middletown]

    Cave Tenzin SMASH!

  • Adriano

Oh, Jane. At least you tried.

  • Gart Shwey

    Mood swing, activated.

  • NickDA

Yay @Dan for the SF footer… you rock in my busy absence !

    • Yeah I couldn’t figure out how to get it nicely up in the top, so it’ll hang in the bottom for a bit ;)

Hey, girls and boys. I’ve been doing some exploring in the bizarre world of Top Web Comics, and am bringing you a report. The good news is that a lot of the upstart comics which burst on the Top 100 chart have dropped back off of it, which lessens the downward pressure on us. The bad news is that we’re not putting out a lot of the upward pressure we need to reclaim our spot. Currently The Demon Archives is getting about 12 - 15 votes per day, and are hanging in the 220 - 230 range in the ranking. At 12 votes per day, I can pretty much put a name to each vote-including those who can vote more than once.

Why so few when we used to see daily voting in the high 20’s? Some of it is natural churn-folks who for one reason or other no longer read or read sporadically. Some is simple forgetfulness. And some is that there are newcomers who haven’t been asked, yet. For the last two groups, please consider giving us a helping click, and here’s a handy VOTING LINK to make it even easier. ^^

The final reason, is one which personally distresses me greatly. I first noticed it on some webcomics where I am the only voter, and can better keep track, but NOT ALL OF MY VOTES ARE BEING COUNTED! It might be just me, or it may be more widespread, but it makes every vote and attempted vote more vital. Please help us cut through the clutter!

If any of you are the only voter for a webcomic, keep track of your votes and see if your total matches TWC’s.

    • Mark Linimon

Hmm … I don’t think I’ve seen a situation where my votes are not counted.

      • Chris

TWC has a filter or something which is supposed to remove duplicate “cheater” votes. It’s probably IP based or uses a cookie ID or something to track same clients. Probably what is not counting some votes for people using same systems.

        I voted.

        • Delta-v

You are allowed to vote once per IP address you have access to per day. I only have one such address. What has been happening to me, is that when I give my single vote, the vote is acknowledged and registered, and changes the vote total on the TWC ranking list. An hour or so later, the vote is no longer there. I can’t tell you whether it’s just their normal incompetence, or something more sinister.

And thank you-you’re good people. ^^

  • Dusty Coyote

Hello. Its been a while hasn’t it? Well Tenzin, maybe if you did a bit more yoga, you’d find it easier to not snap at the DI that’s had your back since day 1.

  • Hornet

Well at least he could have been truthful enough to say “me and my men”.
