Colors on time today! Even though Seba and I had a long back and forth about this scene, Seba’s a rockstar and got it done on time :)

Also, I’ve made a poll/survey to try to get some feedback from all you wonderful readers I see on my analytics.       When I first read that, the intro to Dragnet was playing in my head and I was surprised how many Duhs you’d missed. Coming up next, Peter Gunn … or Peer Gynt’s Im the Hall of the Mountain King (the horrid little guy is trying to escape TROLLS! - a college choir got to dress up as such and pour out of the back doors into a bunch of bored middle schoolers watching an orchestra perform while singing the chorus. Kind of fun … except some of the small children a few teachers had brought along that day wigged out, which added to the atmosphere).

  So he could have been warning about the lab.

I wouldn’t worry too much about Lily. She knows how Deathbots work. She’s probably already built herself a mech suit.

Looks like Rick and Oculus Goon #2 may be about to reunite. Did Rick keep his wrench handy? (https://demonarchives.com/chapter-9-page-23-ironic-newscast/ ) The other guy looks like he’s wearing an Aegis uniform, but the light is too low for colors, and I’ve relied on color to distinguish Oculus uniforms from Aegis, so I could be wrong. (The lab coat on goon #2 says “I’m with Glaucus - nothing to see here. That’s not a pistol on my right hip. No. It’s a… a… combined man-purse/pocket protector. Yeah, yeah. “)

I think the intruders are trying to get intel on the Deathbots for Pres Smith - who is not behind the Deathbots. Which makes me think that they will want to avoid significant harm to Angeline once they notice her and if they capture her. (The entity behind the Deathbots has access to Glaucus/Aegis techincal data - so Oculus’ attempt to get that info out of Rick indicates that they don’t have it, so they (as an organization) are not behind the Deathbots. (of course, any one person in any part of Minerva could be part of the conspiracy, but I don’t think any of the legs of the organizational triad are backing that effort)

Hmm. I wonder if the “attack” on Lily is actually meant to distract her from what’s going on in her office. Like, what if they intended her to run in there and find out nothing is wrong after all, wasting her time while they jack all her research? I mean, it makes sense to me. I doubt an outside force is infiltrating and kidnapping random children, so this is almost certainly an inside job. There’s no good reason for any of them to hurt or steal Lily. She herself has no tactical value. The only thing that makes her useful is a means to manipulate Angeline, and this is the first scenario that comes to mind.

If that’s the case, looks like she caught them red-handed.

  Agreed on your conclusions. At this point, I expect Angline’s trying to figure out what’s going on - though the idea of Lilly as a distraction is something that I expect is occurring to her as she investigates here office.
  
  I suspect that the HAL voice about the “intruders” was faked - and that she’s being cut off from the real Hal - who is watching Lilly safe and sound. The risk/danger of stealing Lilly is much higher than a simply distracting Angeline to steal a copy of her research. (stealing the Deathbot parts wholesale is also a tough caper to pull off - why not let Angeline figure them out and then steal her answers. Though the Minervans on Team Deathbot (Okane’s conspiracy?) may want to find a way to make a few key parts disappear before Minerva figures out that their tech is getting leaked…

      Possible, but there’s been no indication of that so far. I suspect that Deathbot Command is in the Evil Villain Lair (R) that we’ll learn more about at some time in the future.

        I thought that was usually that cubicle in the corner, you know.. the weird one with the candy wrappers near it that nobody ventures near.

Angeline must be really freaked out, because she’s suddenly white as a sheet. It took me a minute to figure out who she was. Also, those dudes had better get out of that lab fast. I would NOT want to cross Angeline.
