A bit late to the party, ain’tcha boys?

  • Adriano

I’m confused by the second panel :/

    • Amberlight

I think they dropped some sort ofa window cracker. But yes, rather confusing.

      • Delta-v

It looks more to me like a random piece of metal (possibly a Deathbot part) that they picked up and threw through the window.

        • Heh, previous page, goon G sticks a device on the window and things start humming.

          • Delta-v

Ah, I thought that was just him arming the flashbomb. Ooops! ><

          • An easy misunderstanding, it was not made abundantlyclear visually.

  • Justice

Not bad Rick, not bad at all. And hey, look on the bright side: you’re not dead!

  • Matt [in Middletown]

The AI’s gather around like mewing cats, begging for praise from “mom”.

  • Look at that, he survived with two more limbs than Tenzin did. And not a single thank-you. But on the other hand, the thank-you is probably implied, since she didn’t shoot him down from trying.

  • T.R.

I read the last panel, and all I can think of is the final scene from the Bugs Bunny cartoon “Bugs ‘n Thugs” where the cop yells “Allright Clancy, take the boys and surround the house!”

  • T.R.

Interesting that security doesn’t seem to have anyone stationed outside to control the exits - or to investigate when a huge pane of glass is smashed as 3 armed goons jump out a window chased by a hail of bullets. Maybe we need Yakkity Sax as a soundtrack for this page? :)

Dan: Security looks like they are dressed as Aegis personnel. If so, is Aegis responsible for both external and internal physical security at Minerva? (i.e. police and army)

    • I believe I’ve mentioned before that internal security in Minerva HQ and City is handled by a branch of Oculus.

Those are indeed Aegis personnel arriving. Make of that what you will ;P

  • Honza Prchal

I really like the high-tech blinder device - leaves unenhanced human vision fine, but makes something in military grade (but likely not the shooter-boss’ shades) opticals excited enough to blind the wearer. Very handy for internal security operations - especially i not used with both unenhanced and enhanced viewers in the field effect at one time.
The window cracker is also kind of a nifty device. Breaking windows when one is nearby is inherently dangerous, especially if they’re reinforced/ballistic grade, which I suspect this one was.

That sounds right to me, though it seems strange that G would be carrying such a device. The Aegis security detail wasn’t equipped with combat tactical headset displays so it seems a bit of a stretch that G would have carried that just in case - since intel would have indicated that it was an unlikely device to encounter. He wasn’t carrying tactical webbing, so he was limited to what he could carry in his pockets…

On the other hand, it may have made sense for G to carry such a device in order to neutralize anyone who showed up with such a tactical advantage.

      I’ll call it a bump.

      • Honza Prchal

I agree, obviously. Also, it may work on the optical elements of many of the more dangerous robots, which they might expect to find there.

Dan, How high up was Angeline’s office from grade level? Panel 3 makes it look likely to be >20 feet, and panel 6 makes me think it was higher than that. I’m wondering how the 3 Amigos managed to land without breaking/spraining anything - especially considering that N was wounded and would have needed assistance on the landing.

    • Heh, Seba actually was so on top of this, chapters ago we saw the garden area they’re jumping down into, and he placed an awning there for them to land on half way down XD

      • T.R.

And G is so thorough, that he noticed that while casing the job and took advantage of it? He’s back in the running for Goon of the Year. :)
