For being a virtual avatar created by a powerful AI housed in a organic computer, Jane sure is snarky. Of course, you’d kind of have to be to get along with Tenzin when he gets moody ;)

Poor Tenzin; every time he’s overruled Jane today, it has turned out poorly, and now she wants him to take a counterintuitive chance.

  Yeah, I’m just proud of her for not stooping to the “I told you so” level. Because a not-so-subtle rebuke is at least marginally easier to take.

    Although apparently Tenzin is either too dense or too stubborn to accept blame. It sounds like he’s starting to blame her for the day’s events.

Why does it say “Dermo”? What does it even mean? It sounds like he decided he desperately needs a dermatologist or something…

  Ah. Well, right there we’re utilizing what’s known as a “Bilingual Bonus” http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/BilingualBonus I didn’t want to right a bunch of swear words in English, so I have the characters swear in other languages :)
  
  As to why, Tenzin doesn’t like the route they have plotted.

  Because his name is Viktor, obviously. When you have a character named Viktor or, for example, Dmitriy, it’s sooner or later you find him swearing in russian :D

Oh, I trust Jane implicitly. Clearly destined to be a long-running main character; if she’s housed in Tenzin’s armour ATM, he’s going to get out of this. And saving a child only to have her die during extraction? Totally not on; not good story-telling.
