Posted by / in Comic / 38 comments

Oh hey it’s Christmas! I’m prepping this Christmas Eve, so I can enjoy Christmas morning with my family. I hope you all have a good day, and spend it with friends and family, whether you celebrate or not :)

We got a Christmas themed Secret Santa gift that posted this week. Check it out!

As a bonus present to you all, I made a free-to-view Tenzin Armor Schematic, posted on our Patreon. That way you have to at least click over there to see it :P And if you want to give us a present, you can become a Patron :D Or maybe just a donation to our Paypal, [email protected] :D

  • Don’t get me wrong, I do think these shots look cool, but do hospital patients in critical condition usually get left in such a state of undress? You’d think maybe he’d have some kind of hospital gown or at least some bandages-though come to think of it, he ought to be covered in all sorts of shrapnel wounds, unless there’s been a huge time lapse or they simply have better healing technology. This page makes me kind of curious to understand exactly how the medical field works in this world…

    • The answer to most of those will be answered in comic shortly. This room has much better climate/temperature control than modern hospitals, though, so him being naked is alright ;)

      • Adriano #WR

He’s naked for the eyes of Bellamí xD

        • Delta-v

Why? So she can treat him with even more scorn? :)

          • Adriano #WR

Nah, it’s a strategy of Jane to get Angela seeing his beautiful perfect body ;)

          • Matt [in Middletown]

“And in answer to your question Angela, his ‘equipment’ still works despite the loss of the leg in close proximity.” - Mad Science doctor, much to Angelas mortification and Janes amusement.
Explanation for the scorn she shows.

            ];-)

          • Angeline! Not Angela :P

And I’m still torn as to how functional he will be, actually.

          • Matt [in Middletown]

That’s okay, smertfoan has been cowrecking everything I’ve typed today.
Im pretty certain I typed Angeline.
            I’ll fix it.
Odd…smertfoan didn’t throw an apostrophe in there above..
            *groan*

          • NickDA

smertfoan… love this… he has a personality in my head and everything.

          • Matt [in Middletown]

Smertfoan, learned spelling via hookt on fonix.
Insists that it is ALWAYS correct on everything, will lag in “correcting” you at times.
Sometimes up to thirty seconds, or long enough for your eyes to be elsewhere in your typing.
Usually via the “Aha! You must REALLY mean THIS!” method of text cowreckion.
Sometimes it will assume you are copying and pasting something when all you are doing is placing the cursor.
Thpse moments make you want to commit bot murder.

          • Matt [in Middletown]

Extra credit: talky toaster from Red Dwarf.

          • Sebastián Píriz

Annd we didnt talk about this. I meant to ask but it was irelevant for the pages I did so far and I didnt want to be creepy :P

          • Oh no, it’s very relevant for the pages

          • Lol. You would :P

Currently I’m leaning towards him being fully equipped and functional still, but I don’t know for sure. Especially since it might not even come up. We’re not telling that sort of story ;)

          • Good lord, my comment really opened up the rule 34 floodgates, didn’t it? I thought we covered that in guest week already.

          • sebasP

You’ll have ton dress this at some point, otherwise it will become the biggest mistery of the Demon Archives

      • Sebastián Píriz

We did talk about the room temperature right? I read the comments and I realize that you covered every aspect of the story . So, readers, when Dan or Nick reply to somethong have in mind that they arent just making it up

        • Matt [in Middletown]

Most readers are going off experience of hospitals being chilly, and you have that ridiculous gown that flashes your backside to everyone as the nurses snicker and comment.
So reader experience is being projected onto Tenzin.

    • NickDA

He’s actually totally fine… just sun bathing under that awesome doughnut light.

      • Adriano #WR

I want the same sunbath in my house !!!

    • Delta-v

I think that’s more of a treatment table than a bed. Perhaps they need ready access to all the broken/torn/damaged parts.

  • Matt [in Middletown]

    Enter the mad scientist.

  • Adriano #WR

To the Tenzin armor scheme : Where’s Tenzin body ??

To the page of DA : The face of the Doc in the second panel made me laugh so hard xD There’s something funny with his mouth I guess.

    • Where’s his body? It would be inside the suit. It’s just an armor schematic. Maybe I don’t understand the question :D

      • Adriano #WR

It was more like of a joke to the comments from last page x)

      • Matt [in Middletown]

I’m, uh… currently trying to rough out a Little Tenzin Adventure.
I’m quite terrible at sequential art, soooo.. this might take me a bit.
I apologize for all liberties taken with the material, and for any hazards the characters might face.
Most of all, for facing the terror and horror that resides inside my noggin.
I’ll let you know how terrible I do, or whether the characters rebel against me.

        • Oooooh :D I’m excited! And if you don’t feel up to the art, but do come up with some stories, we can always get Seba or someone else to draw them out :D

          • Matt [in Middletown]

Well, so far I have three roughed out panels of a storyboard.
            “Sledding” is the subject.
At least it is so far.
For some reason, Captain Ahab’s speech is running through my mind during the roughing out.
Either that or this one college professor I had droning on about the formula of a story from inception to action to denouement.
            *shrugs*
            Either way, it is rather..odd.

          • Matt [in Middletown]

Email from my aoHell to webmaster describing what I have so far.
I have not decided what text to have Tenzin quoting.
            Yet.

          • Email to me too (dan @ demonarchives), since I don’t know when Nick checks ;)

          • Matt [in Middletown]

            Done.
            It is forwarded.
            And it is terrible.
It is just a description at the moment.
I’ll see what I can do about sending the roughed out image on.

          • Matt [in Middletown]

            Two more email inbound.

  • Scaronn

How about transmitting his mind into an AI? Stationary at first, powerarmor built into later.

Also, they don’t need him - most of them only need his skills as commander and warrior. So, it might be a variant to use his insaveable mind to pass experience to an AI which then built into powerarmors.

    • NickDA

I like the way you are thinking… and I believe you will be both surprised and intrigued by what they do. But in general, that’s the right vein of thought… this is a “singularity” type comic after all :D

      • Henrik Svantesson

        Oooh, it is? Excitements!

    • Matt [in Middletown]

“You demented fiends! You turned me into an X-Box! Oooh! Pong!”
      RoboTenzin is easily distracted.

  • Citrus Reaper

    Tenzin! Where’d your hair go?
