    First ! OMG FIRST !!!

    • Dusty Coyote

      First Reply to First!

      • Adriano

        Firstception !
“Yo dawg, I heard you like being the first, so I’m the first replier to the first reply of the first comment”

  • Adriano

Ahahah I laughed so hard at the two guys “Dat ass” look on panel four xD
On the same panel, is the bearded guy “Captain Haddock” from belgian comic “Tintin” ?

Questions : what is the percentage of what ethnicities/races present in Minerva ?
Is this guy the chief of the Aegis ? He looks like a Buddha. A war Buddha.
Are those two guys from panel four part of Minerva’s police ?

Why is Lily so cute ?

    • Dusty Coyote

Because I have the authority granted by muah to do so, I shall answer your questions. Twice. Once as myself, and once as the Shar-pay

1m) (Me) Yes, Professor Captain Haddock. 1s) Maybe, who knows? I do.
2m) All of them. 2s) Minerva is a very diverse place so I let my artist make up most of that.
3m) Actually, he’s the Lord high Executioner. 3s) Maybe. No spoilers hue hue hue.
4m) Could be pirates with an eye for booty. >.< im sorry. 4s) They are a form of law enforcement / security from Minerva's military arm.

      5m) Because 5s) Why not?

      • Surprisingly accurate me impersonation :P

But the “police” figures are actually from Oculus, not Aegis.

        • Adriano

          That’s why they wear glasses ! #PunPunPun

          • How else would they see in 3D?

          • Dusty Coyote

If there are any fracture in the ideology in Oculus, would that be an Oculus Rift?

          • Adriano

Omg, you did that pun xDDD You’re my idol :’D

          • *stores idea away for later*

          • Dusty Coyote

And people said I had to play a forum game to influence the plot.

          • NickDA

            Ooohh… must use this :D

      • Adriano

4m) Ahahahah I’ll take it for rigth answer !
        2) and 5) I’m disappointed by that answer ! Buh ;-;

        • 2) Minerva has a little bit of everything, but mostly the initial scientist recruitment was from “Western” countries.

          5) Part of making Lily adorable was to offset the horribleness all around everywhere, and to be a stark contrast with her and Tenzin’s PTSD and etc.

          • Adriano

            2) So vague answer, Dan. This doesn’t content my curiosity :'(

            5) Oh, I see. She’s the happy face of Minerva, in fact. This makes sense.

        • Dusty Coyote

I did say it ended up less flippant. Autocad is eating my brain.

2m Rev 2.0) Each ethnic group makes up 37.24% of the population of Minerva. Each of the 15 ethnic groups sends delegates to the ‘mixing bowl’ were they vote on how to further skew the numbers to reach a 1000% total population.

          • Hornet

You want design software that eats your brains? Try SolidWorks or as we say Solid doesn’t Work.
Actually SolidWorks makes very pretty 3D models the 2D side is like dragging a 2 ton boulder.

          • Dusty Coyote

Im drafting in AC2016. Actually, I’m redrafting a draft. dont ask.

    • NickDA

Oh, those dudes were totally checking out the robot… they’re secretly giant robot nerds…

    • “Captain Haddock” would be a sort of self portrait :D

  • Adriano

    Did you hear, guys ?
Vladimir Putin has some tactical BRICS in his territory today ! Or yesterday.

    • Amberlight

I don’t think this is an appropriate place for anything politics-related.

      • Oh this is a real politics thing? I just thought it was a bricks joke for Matt.

But yeah guys, we’re international, try not to pick fights between countries :)

        • Matt [in Middletown]

          Ah, yes.
          There is that.

      • Adriano

I never wanted to make it political. It’s a brick-joke for Matt. Sorry if this brick-joke offended you.

        • Dusty Coyote

Gonna leave this here. Think twice next time. Brick is dangerous.

          • Adriano

Yeah, bricks are definitely not easy to handle.

          • Matt [in Middletown]

Must warn the people about the dangers casual brick use!

          • DrCrazy102

            Oh, man, not the Anchorman!

        • Amberlight

Maybe it’s an acquired reflex, to see a crapstorm coming whenever any high political figure’s name is mentioned. Maybe I should stop reading comments on Youtube.

          • Adriano

Oh, I understand you. Indeed, my comment could be, in another website (cuz here we’re all grown-ups responsibly responsibles), taken as a start for a shitstorm.

          • NickDA

Yeah, if we get popular enough to have the type of idiot comments you see on some news websites of youtube etc… it’d be a nice problem to have, but I’m not looking forward to it.

    • Matt [in Middletown]

Wait, how did HE get tactical bricks before we did?!
      That’s not fair!
      / kidding.

  • Amberlight

Wasn’t Angeline a Doctor before? Did she rise through the academic ranks in this month?

    • In the US, Professor and Doctor are often interchangeable titles for academic researchers. So she is not a MEDICAL doctor, but rather a PhD Doctor.

      • Amberlight

I always believed that Professor is higher “rank” than Doctor.

Also this guy sounds like it’s not the first time he sees Angeline’s experimental units escaping on their own.

        • Yeah not that way I’ve always heard it used. Sorry for the confusion, hopefully that doesn’t mess with your translation :D

        • Adriano

Hu-oh. I didn’t thought of it, but yes this guy seems to react like it’s an habit.
I wonder what horrible monsters Dr FrankenBellami produce in her laboratory…

          • You build enough autonomous robots, I’m sure they at least get lost sometimes ;P

          • Adriano

Especially if their software is female-shaped ;P

          • You starting a sexist problem thread too?

That’s puts you at “firsting”, politic-ing, and sexist-ing, all in one morning. Best be careful ;)

          • Adriano

I’m starting a sexist jokes thread, it’s not the same u-u

But yeah, I’ll be careful for now on, sorry x3

          • Matt [in Middletown]

“OMG, it’s in the airducts! Now we’ll never get it out!”
“And it won’t stop with that ridiculous tune!”

    • And down here professor as a title would be less than a doctorate, a title for people who did specific careers for teaching., but doctors use to be professors on college.

    • Delta-v

Depending on the institution and the course being taught, not all Professors hold Doctorates. This is especially true of Associate Professors, Adjunct Professors, and Assistant Professors, so if someone is teaching who does not have a Doctorate, they would be considered of “lesser rank” than a teacher who does,

  • Matt [in Middletown]

No General, TWO of Doc’s experiments are loose.
Fear not, the singularity will come to you eventually as well.

    • For a second I thought you were counting Lily as one of the experiments :P

      • Matt [in Middletown]

        That would be three, sorta.
She may count as one after all.
Depends on the medical procedures, how much tech is involved, and how experimental said tech is.

        • Experiment number 1145:
          Raising a little girl.-

          notes:

+ let her dress herself: seems to be working perfect so far
+ let her roam free trough Glaucus’ building.
+ give her some toys. ( where could I find some toys? I have to search for something in the lab )

          • Hehehe. Bravo, Seba.

But yeah, we’ll definitely be getting into how Angeline views Lily and etc soon :)

          • Matt [in Middletown]

That does sound like a plausible journal entry.

  • Nate the Robot

What a cute looking pet, so is it a stray?

    • Delta-v

Which one are you talking about, Nate? :)

      • Knowing @natetherobot:disqus, he wants to adopt the minibot.

        • Matt [in Middletown]

“Don’t worry General, you will make a fine pet for the Robot Overlords!” -Jane should SO say that in an emulated voice.

      • Nate the Robot

Human pets are way too messy, clearly the robot!

        • Delta-v

Wait, wait, wait. You’d turn a robot into a PET? Isn’t that like an insult, or something? O.o

          • Nate the Robot

Bah, you have mammals as pets, correct? =)

  • Delta-v

Awwwww, who needs a voice when you can talk with your eyes. ^^

  • AnnoyedGnat

BWAHAHAHA! Lilly’s face in the last panel may look cute to the adults, but when it is looming over the minibot, it may be the glare of ultimate horror! You have no idea what her intent of “playing” with you means, little guy, RUUUN!

  • That last panel is just a twee bit unsettling.

    • Hehe yeah, just a little. I never said Lily was 100% cute and adorable ;)

      • Matt [in Middletown]

Squee power to 110% and holding.
“It’s too much, the viewer is gonna explode!”
        *boom*

        • DrCrazy102

Is it just me, or does she remind anyone of the Muppets? You know, rounded faces with really flat mouths?

          • Matt [in Middletown]

Obviously she is a biological infiltration construct, but from an organization not overtly hostile to Minerva.
            They may be aliens.
*Now we take you inside the alien vessel where they have a Deathbot strapped to a table. They are pondering how in the world to probe a Deathbot..*

          • DrCrazy102

            USBs and audio-jacks (Futurama reference)

      • Neil Kapit

She is 100% adorable, plus an extra 10% messed up.

  • Xylas Incarnum

Tenzin’s prosthetics are getting researched. I vote for weapon attachments and/or modes, one of which should be a flamethrower and another should be some kinda machine gun… well for the arm anyways. The leg should have the ability to hold hidden stuff if not having it’s own weapons inside it…. Maybe some bladed weapons as well…

Pretty sure Tenzin would like such things once he gets done with the physical therapy for getting used to them.

    • Matt [in Middletown]

Someone messes up, he ends up with a bad case of Spatula Hand, turns it into a deadly weapon anyway.

      • Xylas Incarnum

Spatulas can be made into bladed weapons with a file and a whet stone. Well, unless it’s one of those soft-ish plastic ones. You know, the kind of plastic that’s firm but can’t hold an actual edge.

        • Matt [in Middletown]

Tenzin, using his industrial grade ballistic plastic spatula hand, lays a humiliating smackdown on the bandits he finds!

          • DrCrazy102

*Smack, smack* Tenzin: AND DON’T ATTACK MINERVA AGAIN!

    • theRoUS

Tibia-analogue would be long enough for a reasonably heavy laser, but if you also have jet-assist elements in the boots you’d have to keep the aperture clear. Details, details. Of course, a Robocop-style sidearm slide-out should be a mandatory accessory.

  • Michael Corley

I feel a sky net moment coming on.

    • Xylas Incarnum

That would imply that Jane thought that humans were useless or something.
Which probably wouldn’t be very good for a combat assistance AI for a human.

That and Skynet’s a computer AI hive mind if I remember correctly. One AI with a sense of self doesn’t make a good hive-mind unless they were suddenly given MASSIVE room to grow from programming with Asimov’s rules of robotics to without them.

Jane can’t do that because she was more or less grown from a human brain scan. More person like than cold calculating machine and all that. They tend to have morals instead of Asimov’s rules of robotics in their heads.
