Chapter 9: Page 4 - The Temples of Shénjiào

The next page in the spread shows another faction, The Temples of Shénjiào. I really like some of the detail that went into designing this faction on the reader forum. Someone even wrote a short story from the perspective of someone from this group, that I’ve posted on the site. It’s quite good.

In other news, thanks to whatever readers have been voting up a storm on TWC! We’ve risen over a hundred ranks this last week! Keep it up!

Also, the full color spread (5 pages!) is up on Patreon for $2+ a month supporters. This money lets me advertise, pay for commissions/music/etc, and in tight months for Nick, pay Seba. So please, if you like Demon Archives, give us the equivalent of a cup of coffee a month?

    Wait a minute. If I’m not mistaken, Minerva’s council decided to solve the problem without shooting. This picture does not look like “the time for peacemaking and diplomacy”.

          Two pages ago Jane did say that Kubek is being shady and that his loophole will not hold in court. So that raises a question - why would they need to defend themselves in court?

          It’s not too far fetched of a speculation to assume that Aegis’ commander was not too impressed with the decision the Council of Regents made. So he sends Tenzin to hurt attackers, to agitate them and make Oculus’ solution impossible, leaving Aegis’ war strategy as the only solution..
