Intermission 1 of 4: Minerva Organizational Info Sheet

A lot of you might have already seen this info sheet on Patreon or by voting on TWC, but I decided I want it in the comic archive as well for posterity ;)

Forgot to tell you the chapter ended, btw. We’re starting a bit of hiatus, which I’ll talk more about on Monday. I’ll still be posting stuff at least every update day, including a caption contest, fan art, guest comics, and trailers for other cool comics. Not to mention previews of Chapter 8 as Seba works on building up the buffer, and whatever Lore and Science articles I write (you’ve seen those, right, up in the menu under Extras? There are articles about the founding of Minerva and each of these 3 groups).

        A perfect chemical fog forms to hide that prisoners have done the “El Chapo.” Now liberated, and kilometers away the three plot their next replies,,, :-)

        *Reaches speeders, starts drooling at thought of driving one*
        “Come on, we need to get going … R&D said to be back before sun-down! and yes, that is a definitely too large to be called a mine.”

        “You’re only seeing one anti-drone mine, who knows how many are buried out here around the Cabana, speaking of, last one there buys all the food!” *Jumps in nearest speeder, flicks ENGINE ON switch, and fires recoil start trigger. The two cycle coughs once, then roars with the assurance only shutting off fuel can stop it. With all tires churning the speeder seems to leap fifty meters away before others react.*

        *Hops on speeder wondering why @DeNitro is taking notes the long route. Finds out when a Tactical speed chase ensues. Easily wins and gets first round*

        *Drops comm pad in disgust on the bar, picks up his drink and takes a seat at table with Matt and DrCrazy* “Sure he said, you three go out to the Cabana Bar. Any hostile Deathbots come sniffing they will test our Anti-drone Mines.” *Downs his drink then continued* “When I think, Hostile the answer is Enemy, but nope,, guess that Minerva hardware I talked out of tazing us till we wet ourselves was a valid test target to someone. Anyway, told them it was my fault, only took my speeder away. That and one of you gets to handle the remote now, fine with me, don’t want anything to do with damaging Minerva tech.” *Unloops strap from his arm and places ADM Remote in middle of table before starting to eat his nachos and call for another drink*

        *Spots a deathbot starting to write a parking ticket*
        “Oh no you don’t!”
        *Swipes remote, presses big red button, puts remote down*
        “I can’t afford another ticket, not so soon after getting out”

        Recovering after treating flesh wound, (yeah right, kill me off too fast I’m having fun) Notice Deathbot is just a Drone and Activate Anti-drone mines. One in proximity of Deathbot activities, broadband radio jammer cuts remote link while EMF Pulse confused and blinds sensors to the hundreds of shaped thermal charges that just painted and detonated into Deathbot hull. Are there any open weapons bays, exposed missiles, weapons, or sensors when the charges detonated? What is damage assessment before it stumbles onto next stealthed mine?

        *Sits down and applies field dressing to flesh wound while looking longingly at the Cabana Bar on the nearby ridge.* Hey Matt,, I have this, *Holds up control for Anti-drone mines* If I hold down override button they might just disable the Deathbot, and we can still have cold drinks and snacks here during Hiatus. But,, if we kill it,, are going to have to leave. :-(

        “I need a cold one to soak some nerves in!”

        “Minerva R&D said we can’t tell,, But Deathbot your in mines armed to fire at hostile action. Shocking someone holding down Yield Reduction Override is going from being disabled and damaged, to becoming imploded into useless chunks of debris.”

Ooh, this part is an interesting look at Minerva. I kinda want a Plugsuit now, though.

  I was looking at that and wondering if a plugsuit is a foundation garment that is added to in creating light or tactical armor.

    Yeah, I think that’s it. It’s probably for securely anchoring the parts of the power armor to the wearer’s body, and helping to regulate how much force the power armor actually puts out, because if you don’t calibrate a set of power armor properly, then it’s very possible that it can mess up whoever is wearing it.
