What’s that? People other than Tenzin? We’ll be seeing a lot of that this chapter ;)

This is Jacquelyn Rattray, captain of the all-female squad the Valkryies, and VIKI, her Jane equivalent. :)

  For Jacquelyn to survive without losing more than 40% of her body like Tenzin. Percentage is a rough guesstimate

    Tenzin got hit because he turned his back on a fallen enemy. If Jacquelyn can avoid that mistake, she’ll probably, um keep it together better. (sorry-couldn’t resist) :)

Jane is so much better than VIKI. But Jane has a full on singularity going. VIKI seems to be more… 586ish in comparison.

Here’s hoping that this isnt a chapter full of robots just killing people.

      I assume that the base difference comes down to that Tenzin was challenging but supportive, Jacquelyn was challenging but not so supportive

    I can see this happening, but I don’t think that’s what is waiting down the road. Just doesn’t seem their style, but they did do a mind-meld between Jane and Tenzin

      It is more likely that they open up a d-bot and find that it’s processors were made on the same tooling as Jane and Vik.

I am so, so SO glad that the female soldiers in this universe get the same armor as the men, and don’t have to embarrass/endanger themselves in skimpy swimsuits. Unlike pretty much every other scifi story.

      Wishful thinking just needs some evidence and then it’s a plausible-ish theory that the writers may hopefully use.
      Yeah, I’m wishful thinking now too but u never know do ya, maybe later in the story?

        Exhibit A: The creators gave her some backstory and context in the comments, indicating she’s had more thought put into her than a mere redshirt.
        Exhibit B: We haven’t seen a body yet. And this comic isn’t the sort that’s shy about showing that.
        It’s not much to go on, but it’s something. At the very least, maybe she’ll be a significant posthumous character and we’ll get to see what she was like? I dunno, I just get the feeling there was more to her than just this one scene. Now if you’ll excuse me, I need to dodge the angry writers on the off-chance I actually guessed right and just showed their hand to the table.

        They actually have chameleon suits in some parts of the world. They digitally adapt to their environ!Kent and produce an image over the suit/cloak to hide that person. I believe Canada is hoarding them currently

        Wait, I just noticed that she took off her helmet. So now it’s either the Russian (can’t remember his name atm, sorry) had two d-bots running/flying around and shooting at things with explosives or Jacqueline is really stuffed up and her armour is running around at the whims of Viki. Hehe, the start of the official Minerva-designed d-bots!
