Chapter 4: Page 15 - More Dakka!

Posted by / in Comic / 55 comments

Happy Monday all! Hopefully you had good weekends and stuff.

My apologies to those who thoughts the monks would have super wushu-tastic fight moves, but it is hard to compete against tanks. Also, there is a special little bonus easter egg on this page. Two of the frightened NPCs may look familiar, if you look hard enough ;)

Don’t forget to vote for us!

EDIT: Just found out we got a nice little cameo on today’s Black Mudpuppy page. Thanks Ethan :D

Chapter 4: Page 14 - The Gates

Posted by / in Comic / 9 comments

It’s Thursday, and that means a new page. Hopefully those of you who “couldn’t wait”, managed to make it ;)

Nico continues to shine here, as we say a variety of weaponry from old rifles to sweet kung-fu weapons (I don’t know anything about them, apparently).

After enjoying today’s page (and commenting, of course), please head over to TopWebComics to vote for our comic. Consider making a login in order to favorite us and easily vote every day :D

After that, you should go back and check out the latest entry Tuesday from The Undying Voice, the sweet collab piece I’ve been working on with Josh Conner, and the Interview/Spotlight I posted yesterday with Ethan Kocak.

EDIT: I forget to mention that you should all go check out and vote for the entry Seba made into TopWebComics Watch Dogs art contest, featuring Tenzin and Jane.

A new day, a new page by Nico. :)

In case you don’t remember the non-comic update schedule, right now every Tuesday we’re uploading another entry in the collab piece, The Undying Voice. Every Wednesday we’ve been uploading an interview/spotlight with someone cool. Fridays I sometimes upload a Lore entry or maybe a fan art (if I’m lucky). And Saturdays I upload the initial sketches corresponding to the week’s pages.

There, now you know to come back and look for these. Some will be posted in the Blog section, and some in the Extras section.

Anyways, hope you enjoy the page. What are you thinking of Nico’s style so far? I like how he conveys a sense of action and movement.

Chapter 4: Page 12 - A Present

It’s been a pretty good week so far.

In case you missed it, on Monday’s page there were some links to guest artist Nico Leon’s various websites. A couple of them have some Easter eggs ranging from mild to major spoilers, so go take a look.

Also, on Tuesday we had another entry in the great collaborative piece by webcomic creator Josh Conner, The Undying Voice of Julius Gordon. You really should read it, because it is quite excellent.

And yesterday we posted an interview with webcomics überfan Michael Kinyon, where he shares a lot of his thoughts about webcomics and how we can make them better.

So check those two out and leave some comments to let me know what you think. And then come back here and let us know what you think about Nico’s art. I like it!

Chapter 4: Page 11 - Remembering

It’s a new week, and that means we start the next nightmare/dream/flashback sequence. This time, our guest artist is Nico Leon (Facebook, DeviantArt, Personal Blog), who was recommended to us by Seba. As you’ll see in this (and a couple other sequences), he does awesome work.

In case you missed it, I posted an Interlude page before this one, so make sure you click back if you didn’t see it.

Also, along with the vote plea, I wanted to make sure those of you on Twitter know my handle (@dsharp524) and the official handle (@demonarchives). I keep track of both pretty frequently, so give me a tweet :)

What are your thoughts on the new artist and new style?
