    Tenzin smiled.

      Ermehgurd he did

    • Adriano

No, no, you’re getting the wrong idea, it’s clearly a snark due to his thinking of how he’s gonna smash that oculus guard’s face once he’s past all the crowd.

  • Amberlight

I’m guessing it’s Keleres’ medic’s family. Can’t fish out his name.

    • Heh, if only there was a characters page listing at least SOME of the characters ;)

        No, no!
        Make them work for it!
They have to find the Machine Song page to find the hyperlink to the character bios!

Jorge. Dan said he’d like to bring him back in “a flashback or something.”

Dan: There’d be a long section toward the end of “characters that didn’t get much page time before they died…” :)

  • T.R.

    Prayer beads - nice touch.

The seven soldiers doing PT will be given names, backstories, and we will see them for a bit.
Then they will be brutally slaughtered.

As for Jorge’s family, they will suffer even worse.
For the Minerva universe is run by a dark deity that appears to use d20 tables to determine the fate of various characters.
    ;-)

    • Only a natural 20 can protect you now…

Which reminds me, I really should make a Patreon tier for “Be in a Pathfinder/D&D game Dan GMs”.

  • One advantage of eating lunch off-peak, in an empty break room, is not having to explain tearing up. Dan & Sebas: well done.

It has not escaped my attention that The Demon Archives has been safely ensconced in the Top Web Comics Top 100 for most of this month. I have likewise noticed that we are seeing some new commenterts. These two facts are closely linked, and supports what I’ve always said about the benefits of voting. :)

If you are voting currently, thank you so much, but if you aren’t currently voting, please click on the blue TWC voting banner above, or just click on THIS LINK and get started. Thanks in advance. :)

  • Ugh, so, starting in February, Disqus is giving us 2 options:

    1. Mandatory ad placement
    2. Pay $10 a month for an ad-free Disqus subscription :(

I’m reaching out to you all to hear what you think. I’ve enjoyed our ads free experience, and would like to keep it. In order to do so, I’m going to have to beg more about getting financial support from you, the readers. Check out the “Support Us” tab at the top if you’d like to keep The Demon Archives ad free!

And let me know if you’d more ideas for digital downloads or physical merch you would be willing to pay for, and I’ll get them up on our various stores!

      HI Dan,

Bummer. I recall you doing a trial of the Disqus ads last year - I didn’t find them too distracting. Though maybe the mandatory adds will be more intrusive. One thought is that you let the ads start running, and promise to turn them off once support reaches a set level. (e.g. $100/month in Patreon, TWC ranking hits Top 40 for a week) One of my favorite online comics (Drive by Dave Kallett; http://www.drivecomic.com) used this to good effect. When backing hit $1000/update he upped his schedule to 2 updates/week.

I encourage everyone to support the production of this story. I’m proud to contribute back this project via Patreon (I figure it’s the least I can do for subjecting Dan to my endless theorizing ;) ) TWC voting and plain old word of mouth help too (either via Social Media or IRL) - because those things bring in more attention, more community, and more people who like this enough to contribute. While $10/month for ad-free Disqus may seem like it’s not much, remember that Dan and Nick are already *paying* Seba for his work, and that the servers to host this are not free either. So the additional $10/month is just another drag on them. And it only takes 10 $1/month contributors to cover this cost.

      • Yeah, I tested the minimum level of ads, essentially. They weren’t horrible, but they were so off topic and “clickbaity”. I don’t care about how housewives are losing weight or whatever XD If I were to put ads up, it would probably be with Project Wonderful, and letting other webcomics advertise.

I’ll consider an “ads free” goal on Patreon, but we’ll wait a bit and see what happens. I truly appreciate yours (and everyone’s) support, both financially and socially, to the production of this comic. You all commenting and theorizing and enjoying makes it fun :)

I can live with an advert.

  • Imrar Theomen

Oh no, I caught up. Yet another very interesting comic to be added to my feed. Thank you!

    • Welcome to the present! Check out the Extras tab at the top if you’re bored XD

  • I have no snark for this. It’s just nice to see Tenzin at relative peace for once.
